So 2021 is officially underway and I, for one, am off to a flying start.
I was recently invited to have a conversation with Shubika (the video has been uploaded on the website) which was the first aired video for the month of January 2021.
The discussion covered many different aspects of being a happiness coach and it made me think back over the years and feel so blessed at the number of lives I have been able to touch with a smile, a laugh, a compliment or even just a simple ‘hello’.
I also thought about the many people who have not been so fortunate with their lives, either personally or career-wise. I pray for them everyday but often we never really know if they are being helped or not. We can continue to pray for them and then do a bit more.
There are hundreds of people who go out of their way to touch others’ lives so I have decided to find a way to share an upbeat story everyday that hopefully will bring blessings and a smile to someone who needs it.
Whilst all this is going on in my personal life, the CEO of the company for which I work asked me to make Mindfulness and Happiness a regular feature in the office and bring some joy and guidance to the team. I was thrilled on hearing that request as it is something I have always dreamed of doing. As a “side note”; I was reviewing the goals I’d set for 2020 and was very surprised to note that I’d actually mentioned “bring mindfulness into the workplace”. In all the mayhem of C-19 in 2020 I’d kept aside my goals and focused on the more important and pressing needs as the months went by. It pleasantly surprised me that I’d manifested a goal I’d completely lost sight of.
I am in the midst of preparing the next 21-day challenge which will be focused on our individual contribution to global warming and ways in which we can impact our world. I’d love to have you join us on that journey.
I’m really looking forward to February 2021! I wonder what that holds in store for us.
